Beatrixpark

In the heart of Amsterdam's business district lies Beatrixpark. Located next to the RAI and near the Zuidas, this park bears the name of former Queen Beatrix. Architect Jakoba Mulder, also responsible for designing the Amsterdam Forest, designed this beautiful park. In 1972, the park was part of the horticultural exhibition Floriade, which included the herb garden that still exists today. Upon entering from Diepenbrockstraat, which was also the namesake during World War II, you will find the 'Artsenijhof' on your left. At the same location, when you look to your right, is the children's pool. This is still where young children make their first swimming experiences.
