The Sixth Montessori School in Amsterdam’s Rivierenbuurt is the place where Anne Frank attended from the school year 1935-36 through 1940-41. Her former teacher Mrs Kuperus once said: “Anne was a nice girl, not outstanding, but always active and spontaneous. She had friends, often worked together with other children.” The school, originally known as the Sixth Montessori School, now bears her name: the Anne Frank School.
