Chocolate Nation

Chocolate Nation is a museum entirely dedicated to Antwerp’s rich history with chocolate and its production. Antwerp was the first city to open a chocolate factory in 1831. The museum itself was established in 2018 and is located near the well-known Station Square, directly opposite Antwerp Central Station—an ideal location for both locals and tourists.

The museum is designed as an educational experience. Each room focuses on a different aspect or time period in the history of chocolate, starting with the harvesting of cocoa beans in the jungle and ending in an authentic reconstruction of the Port of Antwerp.

In addition to the permanent exhibition, Chocolate Nation also offers interactive workshops where visitors can learn various chocolate recipes. It is a delightful mix of culture, history, and taste.
