St. Anne's Chapel

You're now standing in front of the Sint-Anna Chapel, tucked away in Antwerp's Keizerstraat. This small house of worship was built in the early 16th century by the wool workers’ guild. It once formed part of a charitable institution for poor women. Over the centuries, the chapel survived iconoclasm, closures, and new uses, yet it endured.

Inside, you’ll find a blend of Gothic and Baroque: a modest space with vaulted ceilings, a 17th-century pulpit, and a marble floor. Since the 20th century, it has been privately owned, and today it opens only for those who know to look. A small but precious piece of religious heritage in the heart of Antwerp.
