ADO den Haag

ADO Den Haag was founded in 1905 through a merger between HVV (Houdt Vol) and ADOD (Alles Door Oefening Den Haag). This marked the beginning of a club that would grow into a stronghold in Dutch football. During World War II, ADO celebrated major successes, winning national titles in 1942 and 1943. At the same time, controversial ties with the NSB emerged, partly driven by the circumstances. The Roods app features the unique story of ADO during the war years.

Today, ADO is firmly rooted in The Hague. Its home ground, the Bingoal Stadium, decorated in green and yellow, holds 15,000 fans and reflects the club’s identity. Players like Dick Advocaat and Michael Mols once graced its pitch, while icons like Co Adriaanse and Dirk Kuyt helped shape the team from the sidelines.
