Pulchri studio

Located along the stately Lange Voorhout in The Hague, Pulchri Studio is a vibrant artists’ collective housed in a monumental building since 1898. Founded in 1847, the name Pulchri comes from the Latin phrase meaning “for the love of beauty.”

At the heart of the building, new exhibitions are held every three weeks, featuring works by members and guest artists. The displays range from paintings to sculptures and photography, with many pieces available for purchase—giving visitors a chance to take home a piece of art. In addition to exhibitions, Pulchri hosts lectures, workshops, openings, and cultural events that keep The Hague’s art scene alive and dynamic.

When summer arrives, the inner courtyard becomes a serene escape with a cozy café terrace. It’s the perfect place to unwind, surrounded by art and nature—a hidden gem for art lovers and passersby alike.
