Café des 2 Moulins

--:--

In the heart of Montmartre you’ll find Café des 2 Moulins, a neighborhood café named after the two nearby windmills: the Moulin Rouge and the Moulin de la Galette. For years it was a simple place where locals drank coffee and caught up on the latest news.

Everything changed in 2001 when the film Amélie was shot here. The café became the workplace of the dreamy main character and suddenly turned into a beloved spot for film fans from around the world. Yet it has kept its charm: the interior still breathes the atmosphere of a classic Parisian bistro, with a bar lined with shiny coffee machines and mirrors on the walls.

Among the tourists, you’ll still find locals quietly sipping an espresso. It’s a place where Montmartre’s daily rhythm meets a touch of cinema history.
