Institut du Monde Arabe 

At the Institut du Monde Arabe on the Seine, opposite Île Saint-Louis, you experience the modern link between Paris and the Arab world. The 1987 building, designed by Jean Nouvel, combines innovative architecture with cultural functions.

The façade with 113 light-sensitive panels regulates sunlight and is a recognizable architectural landmark. Inside, you find a museum with art and historical objects from Arab countries, an extensive library, and spaces for exhibitions, concerts, and film screenings.

The Institute offers Arabic language courses and educational programs, encouraging cultural exchange. The rooftop terrace offers a special view over Paris and Notre-Dame. This institute plays a central role in promoting knowledge and mutual understanding between French and Arab cultures.
