Palais de la Découverte

The Palais de la Découverte, located in the west wing of the Grand Palais in Paris’s 8th arrondissement, spans approximately twenty‑five thousand square meters and is dedicated to scientific exploration.

Originally founded in nineteen thirty‑seven by Nobel laureate Jean Baptiste Perrin, it covers disciplines such as astronomy, biology, geology, and mathematics. Interactive exhibits invite visitors to experiment: in the physics section, you can explore light, sound, and motion; in the chemistry zone, perform small-scale experiments.

Approximately six hundred thousand visitors come each year, and children and teenagers enter free. The museum is a dynamic destination for inquisitive minds of all ages, blending science with fun and education.
