Parc des Princes

Parc des Princes is a stadium full of history in Paris’s 16th arrondissement. It began in 1897 as a velodrome hosting cycling races and the finish of the Tour de France. In 1932 it became a modern football and rugby stadium, but the major leap came in 1972.

That year the current version, designed by Roger Taillibert, opened with its iconic concrete arches that gave the stadium a futuristic look. Since 1974 it has been the home of Paris Saint-Germain. Countless championships were celebrated here, and supporters experienced unforgettable nights in the Auteuil and Boulogne stands.

The stadium also hosted major tournaments, such as Euro 1984 and three European Cup finals. With a capacity of nearly 49,000, Parc des Princes is known for its intimate atmosphere, with the crowd close to the pitch. Despite renovations and plans for a larger venue, it remains a place where the history of Paris and football meet.
