Parc Monceau

Parc Monceau, situated in Paris’s chic 8th arrondissement, feels like an intimate urban retreat. Covering around eight point two hectares, it’s much smaller than the Bois de Boulogne or the 23‑hectare Luxembourg Garden, yet its ornate fountains, exotic statues, winding paths, and small ponds offer a romantic ambiance.

Originally laid out in 1779 by Philippe d’Orléans in the English landscape style, the park underwent major transformations during and after the Revolution. By the nineteenth century it became city-owned and opened as a public green space.
