Parc Sainte-Périne

Parc Sainte‑Périne is located in Paris’s 16th arrondissement and covers 3.7 hectares. The site was once a monastic estate from the 12th century, later a property with vineyards and vegetable gardens. After the French Revolution it was seized and became part of the nearby Sainte‑Périne Hospital, serving as a garden for patients.

Only in 1977 was the land handed over to the city of Paris and transformed into a public park. During its renovation, old trees and paths were preserved alongside new plantings. Its name still refers to both the hospital and the former Sainte‑Périne abbey that once owned the land.
