The Pilgrim Fathers Church, consecrated in 1574 yet with masonry from 1417, is Rotterdam’s oldest church. Once Saint Anthony’s Chapel, it became Protestant after the Reformation. English separatists worshipped here before boarding the Speedwell in 1620, later linking to the Mayflower. A 1761 rebuild added a Louis-XVI façade and wooden clock tower. Miraculously spared during the 1940 Blitz, the church now hosts services, a museum, weddings and an annual Thanksgiving concert.
