About this walk
In 1936, a king gave up the throne for love. Edward VIII chose Wallis Simpson over the crown, and his brother had to step in overnight.
This route takes you past Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey, but also to the places where the real stories happened: affairs, family feuds, and decisions that shook the country. Not just the famous balcony, but what went on behind it.
This route ends close to where it starts.
