Finally, you stroll through the charming Bercy Village, located in the twelfth arrondissement, a stylish shopping district reborn atop the foundations of a former wine market. In the mid‑nineteenth century, Bercy was one of the largest wine trading hubs in the world, with warehouses and cobbled streets supporting its economic role.

By the late twentieth century, the wine market declined, and in 2002 a large‑scale redevelopment transformed it into Bercy Village—a pedestrian‑friendly mix of boutiques, restaurants and cultural spaces, retaining historical brick architecture and balustrade structures.

The open layout with cobblestone alleys invites leisurely shopping and culinary enjoyment. Since reopening, the area attracts both locals and tourists due to its visual appeal and social atmosphere.
