Parc Georges‑Brassens is a peaceful 9‑hectare park in Paris’s 15th arrondissement. It stands on the site of former meat and horse markets, remnants of which remain, such as the clock tower and bronze bull gates. Since its opening in 1985, it has become a beloved spot for locals, with a pond, an herb garden, a vineyard, and even beehives.

In autumn, visitors can join the grape harvest and a small wine auction. The park is named after Georges Brassens, the famous French singer-songwriter and poet who lived nearby until his death in 1981. Brassens was known for his sharp lyrics, humor, and a touch of melancholy.

Songs like Les Copains d’abord and Chanson pour l’Auvergnat are now part of France’s cultural heritage. A bronze bust in the park honors him, and some paths are named after his songs.
