You’re standing in front of the imposing Gare du Nord building in the 10th arrondissement, the busiest railway hub in Europe. Its façade with columns and skylights dates from the nineteenth century and exudes monumental grandeur. Inside, tens of thousands of travelers pass through daily on routes to London, Amsterdam or Brussels.

Ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games, the station is preparing for an unprecedented surge in visitors, with expansion plans for athlete delegations and increased logistics. Above the entrance, 23 statues of women symbolize different train destinations. The interior combines high ceilings, cast‑iron structures and large windows allowing natural light.

Twentieth‑century renovations modernized the station while preserving its historic character. Inside, shops, cafés and waiting areas blend transport efficiency with architectural elegance. The Gare du Nord metro station is just steps away and offers international connections. The station remains a monument to transport and design.
