Feyenoord is one of the Netherlands' most prominent football clubs, founded on July 19, 1908, and based in Rotterdam-Zuid. The club plays its home matches at Stadion Feijenoord, widely known as De Kuip, and is affectionately called "The Pride of the South" and "the people's club."

Unlike many clubs of its time, Feyenoord welcomed members from all walks of life, without strict admission rules. This openness attracted many working-class supporters from South Rotterdam, particularly those employed in the port who felt unwelcome at elite clubs like Sparta. Feyenoord quickly became their home.

The club anthem, "Hand in Hand, Kameraden," gained popularity after the 1961 championship. The line "No words but deeds" captures Feyenoord's no-nonsense spirit and working-class roots.

Feyenoord boasts an impressive record: sixteen national titles, thirteen KNVB Cups, two UEFA Cups, the European Cup, and the Intercontinental Cup. In 1970, the club became the first Dutch team to win a major international trophy, cementing its legacy.

One of Dutch football’s most intense rivalries is the Klassieker against Ajax. This match goes beyond sport, with a long history of fierce competition and fan clashes.

Over the years, Feyenoord has been home to iconic players like Coen Moulijn, Johan Cruijff, Willem van Hanegem, Ruud Gullit, Dirk Kuyt, Robin van Persie, and Giovanni van Bronckhorst—legends who helped shape the club’s rich and storied history.
